Larkin Jean Van Horn is a mixed media textile and beadwork artist,
working in the areas of art quilts, jewelry, 3-D fabric structures,
wearable and liturgical art.  She draws her inspiration from the natural
world, her love of color and drama, and historical symbols and mythology.

Texture is a very important component of Larkin’s work.  She wants her
artwork to have as much interest for the eyes as for the fingertips.
She achieves her texture with fabric collage, machine and hand
stitching, beadwork and a variety of embellishments.
